Requirements
Though the school is established to foster both Western and Islamic education, the school does not discriminate against pupils on grounds of religion, creed or color both in admission process or curriculum implementation. But a child must satisfy the following condition before he/she can be admitted.
College Admission Requirement
CLASSES AND AGE REQUIREMENT
A minimum entry requirement for baby class/crèche is 12 months.
A minimum entry requirement for playgroup is 24 months at September.
Pupils for the Nursery class one (kinder 1) should have at least attained the age of (3 years).
For the Primary level, pupils should be at least (5 years) old on or before the first day of the session
GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
All children to be admitted shall have registration form completed by their parents or guardians Photocopy of child’s Birth Certificate or Sworn Age Declaration must be provided Children Immunization Certificate may be require. In addition, children shall be duly certified to be medically fit by our own medical doctor Children from other schools can be admitted on transfer Photocopies of previous examination results of candidates seeking admission into Primary School must also be made available
Pupils seeking transfer to CityModel will have an oral/written test administered to them In all cases, admission of children will be on the basis of first come, first served
GRADING SYSTEM
City Models’ goal is excellence always and the school is not ready to compromise this for any other factors. Accordingly, our grading system follows the accepted standard of 50% (average) work value assessment
This educational standard will be strictly adhered to while considering admission of a child from other schools. It will also form the basis of pupils’ promotion to the higher class
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
CityModel is administered by the following:
Director of Studies (DOS): A seasoned educationist, a Muslim and the administrative head of the school, DOS is responsible for the general administration as well as the culture of the school.
Head Teacher (Hts): Are experienced educationist. That are responsible for the day-to-day running of the school and are under the direct supervision of the Director of Studies.
TEACHERS
Teachers are graduates with teaching qualification with not less than three (3 years) teaching experience
Administrative Officer: Holders of B.Sc. or HND and administration with accounting and computer literacy
HELPERS/MINDERS
Holders of Grade (II) Teacher Certificate
DISCIPLINE
The Director of Studies is responsible for the welfare and the discipline of the pupils. He/She also has the power to suspend, dismiss or expel any erring pupil, who may through his /her misconduct, tarnish the image of the school. The Director of Studies exercises the power after necessary consultation with the appropriate authority
WITHDRAWAL
Any parent or guardian wishing to withdraw his/her child from the school is required to apply in writing to the Director of Studies stating reasons for doing so. The pupil will have to pay all outstanding debts and return all school properties in his/her possession, after which the pupil will be given transfer certificate by the school
RE-ADMISSION
Any former pupil previously withdrawn from the school could be re-admitted upon written application and consideration
